Walls you can lean against without dust.
Walls and skirtings collect dust, finger marks, scuffs and stains that weekly cleans miss. Our wall & skirting wipe-down add-on details every painted wall, wallpapered surface, dado rail, picture rail, architrave and skirting board in your home — using the right method for each surface, so paint stays intact and wallpaper stays stuck.

More than just a tidy-up.
A genuine baseline reset for your home, delivered by people who actually know it.
Walls and skirtings are the largest surface area in any home, and they're almost universally under-cleaned. Standard weekly cleans touch the skirting boards only when visibly dusty and rarely address the walls at all. Over months and years, walls accumulate a fine layer of dust (especially behind radiators and above doorframes), finger marks around light switches and door handles, scuff marks at low level where shoes and furniture contact the wall, and stains from cooking splatter, candle soot and pet activity.
Different wall surfaces need different cleaning methods. Modern acrylic emulsion is washable — gentle detergent and a damp microfibre cloth works. Older distemper and limewash are water-soluble — any wet cleaning dissolves the finish, so we use dry brushing and HEPA vacuum only. Wallpaper is fragile — we test a small inconspicuous area before any wet cleaning, and use only dry brushing on delicate papers. Woodwork (dado rails, picture rails, architraves, skirtings) is usually painted with gloss or eggshell oil-based or water-based paint — washable, but we use a gentle detergent to avoid dulling the sheen.
The add-on is bookable as part of a deep clean, spring clean, or as a one-off. It's particularly valuable ahead of decorating (so you're not painting over dust), at end-of-tenancy (agents check skirtings), and after renovation work (plaster dust settles on every horizontal surface including the top edge of skirtings). We work top-down — picture rail first, then walls, then dado rail, then skirting — so dust falls onto zones we haven't yet cleaned.
Every visit, room by room.
A baseline reset of your home's high-traffic zones — refined after the first three cleans to match your priorities.
Painted wall wipe-down
Modern acrylic emulsion walls wiped with a damp microfibre cloth and pH-neutral detergent. Finger marks around light switches, scuff marks at low level, and cooking splatter in kitchens treated with appropriate spot cleaners. We test a small area first to confirm the paint is washable.
Wallpaper dry-clean
Wallpaper (especially older papers, grasscloth, and delicate painted papers) dry-cleaned only — soft-brush vacuum attachment and a dry cleaning sponge (chemical-free, lifts surface dirt). Wet cleaning risks dissolving the adhesive and staining the paper. Test patch always done first.
Dado & picture rail detailing
Dado rails and picture rails (usually timber, painted or varnished) wiped down and the grooves detailed with a soft brush. Often the dustiest horizontal surfaces in the room — dust settles on the top edge and is rarely touched by standard cleans.
Architrave & door frame clean
Door architraves, window architraves, and door frames wiped down — top edge, sides, and the inside of the frame where the door closes. Finger marks around door handles and latch plates treated. Hinges checked and a drop of lubricant applied if squeaky.
Skirting board deep clean
Skirting boards deep-cleaned — top edge (dust), front face (scuffs and finger marks), and the bottom gap behind the skirting where dust bunnies accumulate. Modern painted skirtings wiped; older varnished skirtings polished with a beeswax finish if requested.
Behind-radiator clean
The zone behind radiators is a dust trap that affects heating efficiency and indoor air quality. We use a long-handled flexible brush and HEPA vacuum extension to extract dust from behind radiators without removing them. Significant improvement to allergy sufferers.
Add-ons available on any visit: oven cleaning, fridge clean-out, inside cabinets, laundry folding, ironing, pet area sanitisation, window interiors, and more — all bookable from your client portal.
From quote to first clean in 48 hours.
No pushy sales calls. No multi-week onboarding. Just a clear, four-step path to a cleaner home.
Surface identification
On arrival, we identify each wall finish — acrylic emulsion, distemper, limewash, wallpaper (vinyl, paper, grasscloth, painted). Different surfaces need different methods. Test patch on an inconspicuous area for any wet cleaning.
Top-down clean
We work top-down — picture rail first, then walls, then dado rail, then skirting. Dust falls onto zones we haven't yet cleaned. HEPA vacuum for loose dust first, then damp wipe or dry brush as appropriate to the surface.
Spot treatment
Scuff marks, finger marks, food splatter, candle soot and pet stains treated with appropriate spot cleaners. We don't use aggressive solvents on painted surfaces — they dull the sheen. Test patch for every spot cleaner before use.
Behind-radiator & handover
Long-handled brush and HEPA vacuum extension used behind radiators. Before/after photos uploaded to your portal. Any damaged paint or wallpaper flagged for your attention (we don't repair — that's a decorator's job).
The standards that earned 6,200 five-star reviews.
Six commitments we make to every recurring client — written into your service agreement, not just our marketing.
Surface-specific methods
Acrylic emulsion wipeable, distemper dry-brush only, wallpaper dry-clean, woodwork gentle detergent. We test patch before any wet cleaning. Wrong method dissolves paint and unsticks wallpaper — we don't get it wrong.
Top-down discipline
Picture rail first, walls second, dado third, skirting last. Dust falls onto zones we haven't yet cleaned. Most cleaners work bottom-up — and end up re-dusting their own skirtings. We don't.
HEPA vacuum first
Loose dust extracted with a HEPA-filtered vacuum before any wiping. Damp-wiping dust turns it to mud that smears and stains. Vacuum first, wipe second. The professional sequence.
Behind-radiator included
Long-handled flexible brush and HEPA vacuum extension behind every radiator. Dust behind radiators affects heating efficiency and air quality. Significant benefit to allergy sufferers. Included as standard.
Damage flagged, not repaired
Pre-existing paint damage, wallpaper peeling, damp staining, cracked plaster — flagged with photos in your portal. We don't hide damage, we don't repair it (that's a decorator's job). We tell you what we found.
Test patches always
Before any wet cleaning, we test a small inconspicuous area. If the paint or wallpaper doesn't tolerate the method, we switch to dry cleaning. No 'oops, the paint came off' surprises.

Loved by Scottish households.
“Victorian tenement flat with picture rails and deep skirtings. Maundy Clean spent 4 hours detailing every wall, dado rail and skirting. The dust behind the radiators was incredible — they extracted a full cupful from each. Allergy symptoms much better since. Annual booking.”
“End-of-tenancy clean with wall wipe-down add-on. The agent specifically checked the skirtings (they always do) and passed without comment. Got full deposit back. They even identified that the wallpaper in the spare room was peeling at one edge — pre-existing damage flagged before they started. Honest team.”
“Ahead of decorating, I booked the wall and skirting wipe-down. The decorator said it was the cleanest house he'd ever worked in — no dust under the dust sheets, paint adhered perfectly. Worth the £120 for the time saved on prep. Will do the same before every decorating project.”
