The basket is finally empty.
Laundry is the chore that never ends. Wash, dry, fold, put away — by the time you finish, the basket is full again. Our laundry add-on takes the cycle off your hands. Sort, wash (per fabric care label), dry (tumble or air per care label), iron (per your preference), fold (Marie Kondo-style), put away (per your storage). Bed linen changed and remade. Towels folded and stacked. Shirts on hangers. We use your machine, your detergent (or ours — eco-option available), your iron. PVG-checked crew, fabric-care trained, £5m liability.

More than just a tidy-up.
A genuine baseline reset for your home, delivered by people who actually know it.
Laundry is the chore that never ends. The average UK household does 5-7 loads a week — that's 4-6 hours of sorting, washing, drying, folding, and putting away, every single week. For working families, that's the equivalent of a half-day every weekend spent on laundry. For new parents, it's worse (a baby generates 2-3 extra loads a week). For elderly or disabled clients, it can be physically impossible (lifting wet laundry, reaching the line, ironing for long periods). Our laundry add-on takes the cycle off your hands — sort, wash, dry, iron, fold, put away. You come home to empty baskets and folded shelves.
Our laundry add-on covers the full cycle. Sort: whites, colours, darks, delicates, bedding, towels — per fabric care label. Wash: per care label temperature, per fabric type (delicates on gentle, towels on cotton, bedding on hot). Dry: tumble dry (where care label allows) or air dry (where it doesn't, or where you prefer) — we'll hang shirts on hangers to air dry, lay woollens flat to dry, hang bedding on the line if weather permits. Iron: per your preference (everything, just shirts, just bedding, nothing — your call). Fold: Marie Kondo-style (where it works), stacked neatly, edges aligned. Put away: per your storage (drawers, shelves, wardrobes). Bed linen changed and remade. Towels folded and stacked.
This is the perfect add-on for busy families (laundry done while you're at work), new parents (we'll handle the endless baby laundry), elderly or disabled clients (no more lifting wet laundry or reaching the line), Airbnb hosts (changeover laundry between guests), and anyone who just hates laundry. Add it to your recurring clean (weekly or fortnightly) or book as a one-off. We use your washing machine, your tumble dryer (if you have one — we can air dry if not), your detergent (or ours — eco-option available, £3/load), your iron. We never mix your laundry with anyone else's. PVG-checked crew, fabric-care trained, £5m public liability, 100% re-clean guarantee if anything's damaged or shrunk.
Every visit, room by room.
A baseline reset of your home's high-traffic zones — refined after the first three cleans to match your priorities.
Sort, wash & dry — per fabric care label
Laundry sorted per fabric type and colour: whites, lights, darks, delicates, bedding, towels, woollens. Each load washed per the care label temperature (30°C for darks and colours, 40°C for whites and bedding, 30°C gentle for delicates, cold wash for woollens). Spin speed adjusted per fabric (high for towels, low for delicates, medium for bedding). Dried per care label: tumble dry (where allowed), air dry (where not — shirts on hangers, woollens flat, bedding on the line if weather permits). We never mix your laundry with anyone else's. We never wash dry-clean-only items (we'll flag them for the dry cleaner).
Ironing — per your preference
Ironing per your preference. 'Everything' — every item ironed, including t-shirts and pyjamas. 'Just workwear' — shirts, blouses, trousers, skirts ironed; casual wear folded. 'Just bedding' — sheets and pillowcases ironed; clothes folded. 'Nothing' — everything folded or hung unironed (some clients prefer this — air-dried clothes rarely need ironing). Iron temperature per fabric (linen on high, cotton on medium-high, synthetics on low). Steam iron for stubborn creases. Spray bottle for crisp shirts. Shirts ironed in sections (collar, cuffs, yoke, body, sleeves). Bedding ironed folded. We never iron prints or embellishments (turn inside out first).
Folding — Marie Kondo-style
Folding per the Marie Kondo method where it suits your storage. T-shirts and tops folded into rectangles that stand upright in drawers (so you can see every item at a glance). Jeans and trousers folded into thirds. Socks folded (not balled — balled socks lose elasticity). Underwear folded flat. Towels folded into thirds, stacked edges-aligned. Bedding folded (fitted sheets folded into neat rectangles — yes, it's possible). Pyjamas folded. Children's clothes folded smaller. Items that wrinkle easily (linen shirts) hung on hangers rather than folded. Storage-friendly folding that makes your drawers and shelves look organised.
Put away — drawers, shelves, wardrobes
Laundry put away per your storage. Drawers: items placed upright (Marie Kondo-style) so you can see everything. Shelves: stacked edges-aligned, heaviest at the bottom. Wardrobes: shirts and blouses on hangers (we supply hangers if needed, £1 each), spaced evenly, colours grouped (light to dark). Hooks (if you use them for towels or dressing gowns): items hung evenly. Children's rooms: items put away at child height. Bedroom: laundry baskets emptied and returned to their place. We don't reorganise your storage — we put things back where they belong. If you want reorganisation (new storage layout, decluttering), book our Wardrobe Organisation service.
Bed linen change & remaking
Bed linen change and bed remaking. Old sheets stripped, pillowcases removed, duvet cover removed. Mattress protector removed (if you have one) and replaced with a fresh one. Fresh fitted sheet applied (we'll show you the hospital corner technique). Fresh duvet cover applied (the 'inside-out roll' method — no shaking). Fresh pillowcases applied. Duvet and pillows fluffed. Bed smoothed. Cushions and throws replaced (per your preferences). Mattress rotated (if you have a double-sided mattress — should be done every 3-6 months to extend mattress life). The fresh-bed feeling is genuinely restful — you'll sleep better.
Towels, kitchen linen & delicates
Towels: bath towels, hand towels, face cloths washed on hot (60°C) for hygiene, tumble dried (where care label allows) or air dried, folded into thirds, stacked edges-aligned. Bath mat washed separately (heavy soil). Kitchen linen: tea towels, dish cloths, oven gloves washed on hot (60°C) for hygiene, tumble dried or air dried, folded. Delicates: underwear, bras, silk, lace washed on a 30°C delicate cycle in a mesh bag (we supply mesh bags if needed, £2 each), air dried (never tumble), folded or laid flat. Woollens: hand-wash cycle or wool cycle with wool-safe detergent, laid flat to dry (never tumble or hang — woollens stretch).
Add-ons available on any visit: oven cleaning, fridge clean-out, inside cabinets, laundry folding, ironing, pet area sanitisation, window interiors, and more — all bookable from your client portal.
From quote to first clean in 48 hours.
No pushy sales calls. No multi-week onboarding. Just a clear, four-step path to a cleaner home.
Add the laundry add-on
Add laundry & folding to your recurring clean, deep clean, or book as a standalone service. Specify your laundry preferences: 'iron everything', 'just workwear', 'just bedding', 'nothing'. Specify detergent preference (yours or ours — eco-option £3/load). Specify any items that need special care (hand-wash only, dry-clean only, delicates, woollens). We'll quote the time (typically 2-3 hours for a family weekly laundry) and confirm.
Crew arrives & laundry audit
Crew arrives at the scheduled time. Quick walk-through to see what laundry has accumulated. Laundry audit: every load sorted per fabric type and colour. Care labels checked (we'll flag anything that needs special care — dry-clean only, hand-wash only, etc.). Stains flagged (we'll pre-treat with your stain remover or ours — we'll ask before using chemistry on delicate fabrics). Bed linen change list confirmed (which beds, which sheets). Any items you'd rather we didn't touch (delicate lingerie, hand-knitted items) — flag at the walk-through.
Sort, wash, dry, iron, fold, put away
Crew works through the laundry cycle: sort per fabric and colour, wash per care label, dry per care label, iron per your preference, fold Marie Kondo-style, put away per your storage. Bed linen changed and beds remade. Towels folded and stacked. Delicates and woollens hand-washed or laid flat to dry. Stains pre-treated. The whole add-on takes 2-3 hours for a family weekly laundry, longer for a backlog clear-out.
Walk-through & sign-off
Crew lead walks you through the laundry: empty baskets, folded shelves, hung shirts, remade beds. Any items that need attention flagged (stain that didn't come out, item that needs dry-cleaning, item with a care label we'd like to confirm). Photo summary uploaded to your client portal. 100% re-clean guarantee — if anything's damaged or shrunk, we'll compensate per our liability policy. Add the laundry add-on to your recurring clean (weekly or fortnightly) — schedule via the portal.
The standards that earned 6,200 five-star reviews.
Six commitments we make to every recurring client — written into your service agreement, not just our marketing.
Fabric-care trained — no shrinkage, no damage
Our crew is fabric-care trained: care label literacy (every symbol and abbreviation), fabric-appropriate temperature (30°C for darks, 40°C for whites and bedding, 30°C gentle for delicates, cold for woollens), spin speed adjustment (high for towels, low for delicates), drying method (tumble where allowed, air dry where not), iron temperature per fabric (linen high, cotton medium-high, synthetics low). We never wash dry-clean-only items (we'll flag them for the dry cleaner). We never tumble dry woollens (they shrink). We never iron prints or embellishments (turn inside out first). 100% re-clean guarantee — if anything's damaged or shrunk, we'll compensate per our liability policy.
Marie Kondo-style folding
T-shirts and tops folded into rectangles that stand upright in drawers — so you can see every item at a glance. Jeans and trousers folded into thirds. Socks folded (not balled — balled socks lose elasticity). Underwear folded flat. Towels folded into thirds, stacked edges-aligned. Fitted sheets folded into neat rectangles (yes, it's possible). Pyjamas folded. Items that wrinkle easily hung on hangers rather than folded. Storage-friendly folding that makes your drawers and shelves look organised — and helps you see what you have (most people wear 20% of their wardrobe 80% of the time, partly because they can't see the rest).
Bed linen change & hospital corners
Bed linen change and bed remaking — the part most clients love. Old sheets stripped, fresh sheets applied. Fitted sheet with hospital corners (the technique used in hotels and hospitals — the sheet stays tight and smooth). Duvet cover with the 'inside-out roll' method (no shaking, no bunching). Pillowcases applied, pillows fluffed. Bed smoothed. Cushions and throws replaced per your preferences. Mattress rotated (if double-sided — should be done every 3-6 months to extend mattress life). The fresh-bed feeling is genuinely restful — you'll sleep better.
Eco-detergent option — low-VOC, biodegradable
We can use your detergent (most clients prefer this — they have a brand they like) or ours. Our eco-option is a low-VOC, biodegradable, hypoallergenic detergent (Ecover or Method, depending on availability). Phosphate-free, chlorine-free, optical brightener-free. Suitable for septic tanks. Cruelty-free. We can also use wool dryer balls instead of fabric softener (fabric softener coats fibres and reduces absorbency — wool dryer balls soften naturally and reduce drying time by 30%). Eco-detergent is £3/load, wool dryer balls are a one-off £10 (we supply, you keep). The eco option is genuinely better for your skin and the environment.
PVG-checked crew in your home
Every cleaner is PAYE-employed on a full Scottish employment contract — never self-employed, never gig worker. PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) scheme member. £5m public liability. Trained on fabric care, stain treatment, and bed-making. The same crew every visit (for recurring cleans), so they learn your laundry preferences (which shirts to iron, which to hang, where to put things away). Photo notification when crew arrives, photo summary when laundry complete. 100% re-clean guarantee — if anything's damaged or shrunk, we'll compensate per our liability policy. The standard Maundy Clean promise — applied to laundry.
2-3 hour add-on, no prep needed
The add-on takes 2-3 hours for a family weekly laundry, longer for a backlog clear-out (we can do 4-6 hours if you've let it pile up). You don't need to sort the laundry beforehand — we sort per fabric and colour. You don't need to be home (keyholding available for recurring clients). You don't need to supply anything — we use your machine and detergent, or ours (eco-option £3/load). The easiest laundry solution you'll ever book — and the most satisfying result (empty baskets, folded shelves, remade beds).
Real cleans. Real results.

Loved by Scottish households.
“Two kids, two working parents, never-ending laundry. Maundy Clean's laundry add-on (weekly, alongside our recurring clean) has genuinely changed our weekends. We come home on Friday to empty baskets, folded shelves, ironed shirts, remade beds. The Marie Kondo folding means I can actually see what's in my drawer. £32/week well spent. Worth every penny for the time saved.”
“I can't lift wet laundry anymore — arthritis in my shoulders. Maundy Clean's laundry add-on (fortnightly, alongside my recurring clean) has been a lifeline. Crew sorts, washes, dries, irons, folds, puts away. They use my detergent (Comfort, the one I've used for 40 years). Shirts on hangers in the wardrobe, towels folded in the airing cupboard, bed remade with hospital corners. £24/visit, every fortnight. Independent living, supported.”
“Airbnb changeover laundry — bed linen, towels, kitchen cloths between guests. Maundy Clean handle the laundry add-on as part of the changeover clean. Bed stripped, fresh linen applied, towels folded and stacked, kitchen linen refreshed. All within the 4-hour changeover window. Eco-detergent option (guests love the sustainability angle). 5-star reviews mention the fresh linen. Genuinely worth the £24 add-on.”
