Cleaning a medical practice is fundamentally different from cleaning a commercial office. The surface contamination profile includes blood-borne pathogens, MRSA, C. difficile spores, norovirus, and respiratory viruses — each requiring a specific disinfectant with a specific contact time. A spray-and-wipe with a generic cleaner kills none of them effectively. Our healthcare protocol is built around the NHS National Infection Prevention and Control Manual and uses chemistry certified to EN 14476 (virucidal), EN 1276 (bactericidal), and EN 1650 (fungicidal) — the three standards your inspector will ask about.

Cross-contamination is the single biggest failure point in medical cleaning. We use a strict colour-coded microfibre system: red for treatment rooms and clinical surfaces, blue for general offices, green for kitchen and staff areas, yellow for washrooms. Cloths are single-use per room — never rinsed and reused. Mop heads are colour-matched and changed per zone, with a clean mop head stored in a sealed bag for each shift. Every team member is trained on the NHS cleaning technique (S-curve mopping, single-direction wiping, no double-dipping), not the 'spray everything and wipe in circles' method common in commercial cleaning.

Documentation is as important as the cleaning itself. Every visit is logged with time on-site, crew member, products used (with batch numbers), and any issues flagged. ATP swab results from random touchpoints are recorded in your client portal — typically 5 swabs per visit on treatment beds, door handles, examination lights, and instrument trays. We target under 10 RLU (relative light units), the standard for healthcare environments.
