Happy plants, happy home.
Houseplants clean the air, soften the room, and boost mood — but they need consistent care. Our plant care add-on runs alongside your regular clean: watering to each plant's specific needs, leaf-shining to remove dust that blocks photosynthesis, pest-checking for spider mites and scale, and seasonal repotting when roots outgrow their pots.

More than just a tidy-up.
A genuine baseline reset for your home, delivered by people who actually know it.
Houseplants have specific needs — and a single watering schedule kills most of them. A monstera wants to dry out between waterings; a maidenhair fern wants consistently moist soil; a peace lily will dramatically collapse when thirsty and recover in an hour when watered. Our plant care add-on is built around the principle that each plant has its own needs, and we follow the care plan you provide (or we'll write one with you on the first visit).
Our technicians are RHS Level 2 qualified in indoor plant care. They can identify spider mite before webbing appears, scale insects before honeydew drips, and root-bound plants before growth stalls. Leaf-shining is done with a soft damp microfibre cloth — never the aerosol 'leaf shine' sprays that clog stomata and suffocate the leaf. We use rainwater or filtered water for calatheas, marantas and other fluoride-sensitive species.
The add-on runs alongside your regular clean — every visit, every week or fortnight, your plants are watered, dusted, inspected, and any issues flagged. For seasonal repotting (typically spring), we'll bring the right compost mix (ericaceous for azaleas and blueberries, cactus mix for succulents, peat-free multipurpose for most houseplants), the right pot size, and a clean workspace. Repotting is a separate charge based on plant size and number.
Every visit, room by room.
A baseline reset of your home's high-traffic zones — refined after the first three cleans to match your priorities.
Per-plant watering schedule
Each plant has its own watering schedule based on species, pot size, location and season. We follow the care plan you provide, or write one with you on the first visit. Overwatering kills more houseplants than underwatering — we won't water on a fixed schedule if the plant doesn't need it.
Leaf-shining & dust removal
Large-leaved plants (monstera, fiddle-leaf fig, rubber plant, philodendron) leaf-shined with a soft damp microfibre cloth. Dust on leaves blocks photosynthesis — a dust-covered plant loses 15-25% of its photosynthetic capacity. Never use aerosol leaf shine — it clogs stomata.
Pest & disease check
Every visit, we inspect for common houseplant pests: spider mites (webbing under leaves), scale insects (brown bumps on stems), mealybugs (white cottony patches), fungus gnats (small black flies), and thrips (silver patches on leaves). Issues flagged in your portal with photos.
Rainwater for sensitive species
Calatheas, marantas, azaleas, and other fluoride/chlorine-sensitive species watered with rainwater or filtered water. Tap water in much of Scotland is soft and suitable for most plants, but the chlorine and fluoride added at treatment plants burn the leaf tips of sensitive species over time.
Repotting & propagation (seasonal)
Spring is repotting season. We bring the right compost mix (ericaceous, cactus, multipurpose peat-free), the right pot size (one size up), and a clean workspace. Repotting charged separately based on plant size and number. Propagation of cuttings also offered — new plants for free.
Holiday watering cover
Going away? Your regular plant care add-on seamlessly extends to holiday watering cover — same technician, same care plan, same attention to each plant's needs. No need to impose on neighbours or buy unreliable auto-waterers. Booked at your normal add-on rate.
Add-ons available on any visit: oven cleaning, fridge clean-out, inside cabinets, laundry folding, ironing, pet area sanitisation, window interiors, and more — all bookable from your client portal.
From quote to first clean in 48 hours.
No pushy sales calls. No multi-week onboarding. Just a clear, four-step path to a cleaner home.
Care plan
First visit: we walk through your plant collection with you, identify each species, note pot size and location, and write a care plan. You approve it, we follow it on every subsequent visit.
Water & inspect
Each visit, we water according to the care plan (some plants every visit, some fortnightly, some monthly). Leaves dusted and shined. Pest inspection. Any issues flagged with photos in your portal.
Seasonal repotting
Spring: root-bound plants repotted one pot size up with the right compost mix. Summer: feed with appropriate fertiliser. Autumn: light reduction check. Winter: reduced watering schedule.
Holiday cover
Going away? Same technician visits at the same frequency, follows the same care plan. No交接 to a stranger — same person, same plants, same attention. Your normal add-on rate applies.

Six commitments we make to every recurring client — written into your service agreement, not just our marketing.
RHS Level 2 qualified
Our technicians hold RHS Level 2 qualifications in indoor plant care. They can identify pests before damage appears, spot root-bound plants before growth stalls, and recommend the right compost mix for each species.
Per-plant watering schedule
Each plant has its own watering schedule based on species, pot size, location and season. Overwatering kills more houseplants than underwatering. We don't water on a fixed schedule if the plant doesn't need it.
Same technician every visit
Consistency matters. The same technician learns your plants' quirks — the peace lily that dramatic-sags, the maidenhair that crisps if you look at it wrong, the monstera that drinks twice a week in summer.
Holiday watering cover
Going away? Your regular plant care add-on extends seamlessly to holiday cover. Same technician, same care plan, same attention. No neighbour imposition, no unreliable auto-waterers.
Pest-check every visit
Spider mites, scale, mealybugs, fungus gnats, thrips — caught early, most infestations are treatable. Caught late, they spread to every plant in the house. We inspect every visit and flag issues with photos.
Rainwater for sensitive species
Calatheas, marantas, and other fluoride-sensitive species watered with rainwater or filtered water. Tap water burns their leaf tips over time. We bring the right water for the right plant.
Real cleans. Real results.

Loved by Scottish households.
“40+ houseplants including variegated monsteras and anthuriums. Maundy Clean's RHS-trained technician has kept them all alive for 18 months. Caught a spider mite infestation on my Thai Constellation before it spread — saved me £400. Holiday cover seamless. Worth every penny.”
“Booked the plant care add-on for my mum's houseplants while she was in hospital for 6 weeks. Same technician every visit, followed the care plan to the letter, even sent photos. Came home to find every plant thriving. We've kept the add-on running.”
“Conservatory full of citrus, oleander and bay trees — high-maintenance. Maundy Clean's technician came weekly through the summer, ventilated on hot days, watered to each plant's needs, and flagged when the lemon tree needed repotting. The lemon crop this year was the best yet.”
