Eco-friendly cleaning has come a long way in the last decade. The early plant-based products were genuinely less effective than conventional chemistry — they left smear marks on glass, struggled with grease, and didn't pass the bactericidal tests that commercial cleaners require. That's no longer true. Modern EU Ecolabel-certified plant-based detergents pass the same EN 1276 bactericidal tests as conventional products, perform as well on grease and grime, and cost only marginally more. The compromise is gone.
Our eco-friendly green clean uses EU Ecolabel-certified products throughout. The EU Ecolabel is the strictest ecolabel in Europe — it bans bleach, phosphates, NTA, EDTA, LAS, and a long list of other concerning chemicals. It requires biodegradability within 28 days. It requires dermatological testing. It requires cruelty-free certification. And it requires that the product actually works — passing the relevant EN cleaning standards. We don't use products with vague 'natural' or 'green' marketing claims without the EU Ecolabel certification.
The green clean is bookable as a one-off (try it on a deep clean and see if you can tell the difference) or as a regular plan. Most clients who try it switch permanently — the absence of bleach fumes, the absence of chemical smell on the duvet, the absence of skin irritation, and the absence of plastic waste (we use refillable 5L containers, not single-use trigger sprays) make a noticeable difference to the household environment. And the cleaning result is indistinguishable from our conventional service.

Every cleaning product we use carries the EU Ecolabel — the strictest ecolabel in Europe. No bleach, no phosphates, no NTA, no EDTA, no LAS. Biodegradable within 28 days. Dermatologically tested. Cruelty-free. And crucially, EN 1276 bactericidal — proven against 99.999% of common bacteria.
Low-VOC, low-odour
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are the chemical fumes that cause headaches, eye irritation, and respiratory symptoms. Our eco products are low-VOC (under 1% w/w, vs 10-30% in conventional products). No chemical smell on duvets, no fume-induced headaches, no airing-the-house-for-3-hours-after-cleaning.
Plant-based, not petroleum-based
Surfactants derived from plant oils (coconut, rapeseed, corn) rather than petroleum. Lower carbon footprint, lower aquatic toxicity, faster biodegradability. The cleaning performance is identical to petroleum-based surfactants — modern formulation chemistry has closed the gap entirely.
Refillable containers, zero plastic waste
We use refillable 5L containers dosed into reusable spray bottles — not single-use trigger sprays. Over a year, a typical household prevents 30-50 plastic trigger spray bottles from going to landfill. The 5L containers themselves are returned to the supplier for refilling — closed-loop.
EN 1276 bactericidal (yes, really)
Our eco disinfectant passes EN 1276 — the European standard for bactericidal efficacy. Proven against 99.999% of common bacteria including E. coli, MRSA, Salmonella, and Listeria. The misconception that eco = less effective is outdated. Modern eco chemistry passes the same tests as conventional chemistry.
Microfibre, not paper
We use washable microfibre cloths (200+ wash cycles before retirement) and washable mop pads. We don't use paper towels for cleaning (only for biohazard cleanups). The microfibre captures bacteria physically as well as chemically — a damp microfibre removes 99% of bacteria from a surface without any disinfectant at all.

Standard clean protocol
Same protocol as our conventional clean — high-dusting, surface wiping, bathroom sanitation, kitchen deep-reset, floor care, detail touchpoints. The only difference is the chemistry. The cleaning result is identical.
Microfibre capture
Microfibre cloths used per-room (no cross-contamination). Cloths laundered at 90°C between visits to kill bacteria. Mop pads swapped per-room. The microfibre captures bacteria physically as well as chemically — 99% removal with no disinfectant at all.
Air-quality check & handover
After the clean, no chemical smell, no fume-induced headache. Air quality is often better than before the clean (the dust we removed was a bigger irritant than the eco products). Before/after photos uploaded to your portal.
