Your oven. Like the day you bought it.
Ovens are the most-neglected major appliance in the British kitchen. A 2023 survey by Which? found that 64% of UK households clean their oven less than once a year — and 22% have never cleaned it. The result is a build-up of carbonised grease that smokes when the oven is used, taints food, drops energy efficiency, and shortens the appliance's life. Our oven cleaning service restores your oven to like-new condition in around 2 hours — without caustic chemicals, without damage, and without you having to do anything.

More than just a tidy-up.
A genuine baseline reset for your home, delivered by people who actually know it.
Oven cleaning matters more than most people realise. A dirty oven doesn't just look bad — it actively undermines your cooking. Carbonised grease on the element produces smoke that taints food (the 'roast beef tastes like last week's pizza' effect). Grease build-up on door seals reduces efficiency, meaning longer preheat times and higher energy bills. Carbon deposits on the cavity base reduce heat transfer, meaning uneven bakes. And neglected ovens fail sooner — the average UK oven lasts 12-14 years with regular cleaning, but only 7-9 years without. A £49 annual clean protects a £600-£2,000 appliance investment.
Our oven cleaning service covers the full appliance — not just the visible bits. We dismantle the oven (racks, side rails, fan cover, door glass, door seals removed where the design allows) and clean each component separately. The racks and fan cover go into our dip-tank in the van, where a non-caustic, food-safe solution loosens the carbonised grease over 45-60 minutes. The cavity is hand-cleaned with a non-caustic paste, agitated with brushes and scrapers, and wiped spotless. The door glass is separated (most modern ovens have 2-3 panes) and cleaned between each pane. The hob (gas, induction, ceramic, or solid plate) is descaled and degreased. The extractor hood filter is removed and soaked — or replaced if it's past saving.
What sets us apart is our non-caustic, food-safe approach. Many oven cleaning companies use caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) — it's fast, it's cheap, and it's brutal on carbonised grease. But it's also dangerous (chemical burns to skin and eyes), it's damaging to oven components (it strips the chrome off racks, attacks aluminium, and discolours stainless steel), and it's risky around food (residue on cavity surfaces can contaminate the next meal you cook). We use a non-caustic alternative that's just as effective but without the risks — safer for our technicians, safer for your oven, safer for your food. We also clean microwaves, range cookers (Aga, Rayburn, Rangemaster), and built-in steam ovens. All work is guaranteed — if you're not happy, we'll come back.
Every visit, room by room.
A baseline reset of your home's high-traffic zones — refined after the first three cleans to match your priorities.
Full oven cavity clean — non-caustic, food-safe
Oven cavity fully cleaned: roof, back wall (including fan area), sides, base, and door interior. Carbonised grease removed with non-caustic paste, agitated with brushes and scrapers, wiped spotless. Cavity inspected for damage (element wear, seal degradation, enamel chips) and findings reported. We use food-safe products — your oven is ready to use immediately after cleaning, no rinse required.
Racks, side rails & fan cover — dip-tank cleaned
Oven racks, side rails, and fan cover removed and dipped in our heated dip-tank in the van. Non-caustic, food-safe solution loosens carbonised grease over 45-60 minutes. Racks then scrubbed, rinsed, dried, and replaced. Chrome racks returned to original shine. Aluminium components (carefully — aluminium can discolour with aggressive cleaning) restored where possible. Racks that are too far gone (rusted, pitted) flagged for replacement.
Door glass separation & between-pane clean
Oven door glass separated (most modern ovens have 2-3 panes) and cleaned between each pane — where most of the unsightly browning builds up. Glass reassembled correctly with seals intact. Door hinges checked for stiffness (a common cause of door dropping). Door seal (gasket) inspected for damage — we don't replace seals but we'll flag if one needs attention. Door exterior stainless steel or enamel cleaned and polished.
Hob clean — gas, induction, ceramic, or solid plate
Hob cleaned to a streak-free finish. Gas: burner caps removed and cleaned, ignition switches wiped, pan supports degreased, base wiped. Induction: glass descaled (limescale is the main issue in Scotland), streak-free polish. Ceramic: grease and burn marks removed, glass polished. Solid plate: elements descaled, drip trays cleaned, surrounds degreased. Hob ready to use immediately.
Extractor hood & filter — soak or replace
Extractor hood cleaned: canopy degreased, light cover cleaned, switches wiped, stainless steel or enamel polished. Metal mesh filter removed and soaked in our dip-tank — typically comes up like new. If the filter is too far gone (paper/metal fibre filters can only be cleaned so many times before they need replacing), we'll flag this and quote for a replacement (we carry common sizes; bespoke sizes ordered and fitted on a return visit). Carbon filters (used in recirculating hoods) cannot be cleaned — we'll quote for replacement.
Microwave clean & 30-day satisfaction guarantee
Microwave cleaned inside and out: cavity wiped (including the waveguide cover, often missed), turntable removed and washed, door glass cleaned, control panel wiped, exterior polished. Microwave odours neutralised with a steam-and-lemon treatment. All our oven cleaning work is backed by a 30-day satisfaction guarantee — if you're not completely happy, call us within 30 days and we'll return to re-clean free of charge.
Add-ons available on any visit: oven cleaning, fridge clean-out, inside cabinets, laundry folding, ironing, pet area sanitisation, window interiors, and more — all bookable from your client portal.
