A salon that feels as premium as the price list.
We clean hair salons, beauty clinics, nail bars, medspas, and day spas across Scotland. Shared-equipment disinfection, treatment room sanitation, and premium customer-facing presentation. PVG-checked, EN 14476 virucidal, brand-standard compliant.

Not a generalist. Not a franchise template.
A genuine sector-led protocol delivered by crews who know your regulatory landscape, your audit rhythm, and the cost of getting it wrong.
Salon and spa cleaning is a discipline of premium presentation and shared-equipment hygiene. Customers pay premium prices and expect premium experience — from the moment they walk into reception to the moment they leave the treatment room. Shared equipment (scissors, brushes, towels, massage tables, nail tools) is a pathogen transmission risk. Maundy Clean has spent over a decade inside Scottish salons and spas — from independent hair salons to multi-site medspa groups.
Our salon and spa division operates a two-team model: a daily reset team (typically 6am–9am or 8pm–11pm depending on opening hours) handling floor mopping, mirror polishing, surface disinfection, and towel restock; and a weekly deep clean team handling carpet extraction, upholstery, treatment room deep sanitisation, and shower/plumbing fixture descaling. Every task follows salon-specific protocols validated against EN 14476 virucidal standards.
We understand the rhythm of a salon: morning setup 9am, first clients 9:30am, lunch break (often skipped), afternoon appointments, evening peak 5pm–8pm, close 8pm. Spas have a different rhythm — typically 10am–6pm with treatment rotations. Our crews work around all of it — early-morning reset before opening, evening reset after close, weekly deep cleans on the salon's quietest day. We never clean during client appointments unless it's an emergency.
The frameworks we work to.
Every protocol, every checklist, every audit trail — mapped to the standards your regulator expects to see.
Shared touchpoints (chairs, mirrors, treatment beds, handles, product testers) wiped with EN 14476 virucidal disinfectant — effective against HPV, herpes, hepatitis, and other salon-relevant pathogens.
Disinfectants meet EN 1276 bacterial efficacy — critical for MRSA, staph, and fungal control in shared-equipment environments.
Every product carries a current COSHH datasheet. We use low-fragrance, skin-safe products as standard — many salon clients have sensitivities or are undergoing treatments.
We include showerhead descaling, water outlet flushing, and temperature checks — critical for spas with shower facilities and hydrotherapy pools.
Salon floors (especially hair salon floors with cut hair and water) are slip-risk. Anti-slip treatment, wet-floor signage, and spill response aligned to HSE SLIPS.
For spas with pools, hydrotherapy, or thermal suites — pool hall cleaning, surround disinfection, and changing room sanitation aligned to PWTAG standards.

We've spent years inside salons & spas operations. These are the issues we get called about most — and the protocols we've built to eliminate them.
Shared-equipment pathogen control
Scissors, brushes, towels, massage tables, nail tools — shared by hundreds of clients. HPV, herpes, hepatitis, fungal infections, MRSA — all transmittable. EN 14476 virucidal disinfection on every touchpoint.
Premium customer-facing presentation
Clients paying £80+ for a haircut or £150+ for a facial expect premium presentation. Mirrors streak-free, floors spotless, products dusted, towels fresh, reception immaculate. Brand-standard compliance.
Operating-hours sensitivity
Salons operate 9am–8pm typically. Spas 10am–6pm. Our crews work before opening or after close — never during client appointments. Weekly deep cleans happen on the salon's quietest day (typically Monday for salons, Tuesday for spas).
Skin-safe, low-fragrance products
Salon clients have sensitivities, eczema, or are undergoing treatments. We use low-fragrance, skin-safe products as standard. No spray disinfectants near clients — only pre-saturated wipes or pour-and-wipe during opening hours.
Multi-site salon group consistency
Multi-site salon groups need consistent standards across every site. We provide consolidated reporting, identical protocols, and a single account manager across all sites.
Repeat booking pressure
Salon revenue depends on repeat bookings. Cleanliness is consistently in the top 3 factors in client renewal decisions. Our protocols directly support repeat booking rates — and we measure it via client satisfaction scores.
From first call to first clean in 7 days.
A structured mobilisation that respects your operational continuity — no gap in service, no surprises in scope.
Salon walk-through
Our regional manager walks the salon with the owner or manager. We map zones (reception, styling stations, treatment rooms, WCs, staff areas), identify brand-standard requirements, and discuss opening hours.
Two-team schedule & quote
Within 2 business days you receive a written schedule covering daily reset and weekly deep clean teams. EN 14476 virucidal protocols, COSHH register, and fixed monthly fee included.
Crew induction & first clean
A uniformed, salon-trained, skin-safe-product-trained crew is inducted to the salon, introduced to staff, and the first clean is supervised end-to-end. EN 14476 virucidal protocols briefed.
Ongoing delivery & review
Daily cleaning, monthly KPI reports (including client satisfaction scores), quarterly review meetings. Multi-site groups receive consolidated estate reporting.
The difference is operational.
We don't win contracts on price. We win them on the things that show up in your audit scores, your staff feedback, and your bottom line.

Salons & Spas — the questions we hear most.
Day porters or end-of-day crews wipe down shared touchpoints (chairs, mirrors, treatment beds, handles, product testers, styling stations) with EN 14476 virucidal disinfectant wipes. For equipment that goes on or near skin (massage tables, facial beds, nail stations), we use skin-safe, no-rinse sanitisers that meet EN 1276 (bacterial) and EN 14476 (virucidal) standards. Tools (scissors, brushes, nail tools) are sterilised by the salon team — we don't handle those, but we clean the sterilisation equipment.
